DEPARTMENT OF MBA

MBA programme was offered for the first time in affiliated colleges of Andhra University area. The seeds for growth of the department were sown in January 1986, when the program was added to M.Com course. The department of Management Studies came into existence in March 1991. It has, thus, for its credit 26 years of committed service to the cause of Management education. The mission of the department is to impart relevant management concepts and skills to the eligible graduates enabling them to seek employment in industry and commerce by providing them needed training. The MBA programme offered by the department is accredited by the AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajamahendravaram from 2016-17 onwards

The department has well qualified and competent fulltime faculty on the rolls besides the guest faculty drawn from universities, industries and other departments of our college. It has fully equipped seminar hall, a separate computer in the department furnished lecture halls and a spacious library with thousand of titles in different disciplines. Hostel facilities are available for SC and BC students. The sprawling playground and well equipped gymnasium provide the necessary support to sport enthusiasts. The department arranges spherical interactive sessions for case discussions debates, group discussions, role play incidents, seminars and extensions lectures. It also makes provision for co-curricular and extracurricular activities besides organizing visits to industries and summer placements for field training.

Future plans of the Department

  • To conduct certificate courses.

Value Added Programmes:

  • A certificate course on “Financial Statement Data Collection and Analysis” was organized in association with Virtua Research Inc. Bostan, USA (Eluru Branch) from 03-02-2015 to 02-03-2015 (23 days @2hrs per day from 4:30pm to 6:30pm). 25 students participated in the Certificate course.
  • A certificate course on “Financial Statement Data Collection and Analysis” was organized by Virtua Research Inc. Bostan, USA (Eluru Branch) from 21-01-2016 to 16-03-2016 (45 days @1hr per day from 4:30pm to 5:30pm). 30 students participated in the Certificate course.

 

Training Programmes:

  • Two – day workshop was arranged on English Communication Skills on 14th & 15th October 2015. Mrs. P Sailaja, Mrs. Y Bharathi, Mrs. MSC Sophia and Vincent Paul, Faculty Sir CRR Educational Institutions were invited as Resource Persons. 
  • Two – day workshop conducted for MBA students on “Leadership Training “on 21st – 22nd August, 2015. Facilitators Mr. Vivek Patki, the Forum of Free Enterprise, Mumbai and Mr. Rajiv Luv, M.R.Pai Foundation, Mumbai were trained the students.
  • Group II Exam online coaching classes conducted with the assistance of AP Skill Development Corporation (Govt. of AP) for the students from 22nd December 2016 to 25th February 2017.
  • Campus Recruitment Training Programme conducted for 3 days from 31-01-2017 to 02-02-2017. The facilitators of WALYS (World Advanced Life Yielding Skills) Mr. Ram Krishna Seelam – Founder and Mr. Ravi Kumar – Managing Director were the Trainers.

 

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

MBA Students at the end of their II Semester examinations will have to undergo for project work at different Industries/ Companies for duration of 8 weeks, based on their specializations and submit a comprehensive report on the study report. This project study is mandatory for MBA Students. During the period 2011-2016, MBA students then nearly 745 study projects under Internship programme.
